Today, Monday, July 22, 2024, the sixth – of the consecutive – payments of 2,000,793.30 euros are being made, which concerns the refund of unduly paid contributions, supplementary insurance and welfare branches, for the years 2019 and 2020 to thousands of professionals.

Specifically, it concerns lawyers with a salaried mandate in the private sector and legal entities and salaried engineers and health professionals in the private and public sectors with a private law employment relationship (IDACH & IDOH), whether or not they are debtors of the e-EFKA, who submitted an application, through the corresponding electronic service, until 17.07.2024.

It is noted that now, following Opinion 63/2024 of the Legal Council of the State (LSC), this procedure for the refund of unduly paid contributions is carried out without requesting a tax compliance certificate from the beneficiary.

The debtors of the e-EFKA are credited with the amount resulting from the offsetting of their total debt (settled or not) with the initially calculated amount of the unduly paid contributions to be refunded (article 104 par. 1 of Law 4387/2016 – Government Gazette 85 A’, as in force & article 1 of the decree D.15/D’/90598/11.11.2021 Y.A. – Government Gazette 5404 B’).

In this sixth payment, the maximum refunded amount, which will be credited to the bank accounts of 996 beneficiaries, amounts to 12,211.33 euros.

The competent services of e-EFKA continue to process applications submitted from 18.07.2024 and later, in order for the entitled amounts to be returned to them, through the same procedure, in a subsequent payment.

Finally, it is announced that the operation of the “Electronic Insurance Modification Service for Salaried Lawyers, Salaried Engineers and Healthcare Professionals” and the associated “Electronic Contribution Refund Service for Salaried Lawyers, Salaried Engineers and Healthcare Professionals” is extended until 30.06.2025.
