Circular Summary

A) SUBJECT

This circular informs traders and customs authorities of the changes to the import declaration fields in accordance with the new data requirements of Annex B to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2446/2015 and Annex B to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2447/2015, following a relevant upgrade of the ICISnet Import Subsystem. This upgrade will achieve the harmonisation of the Import Subsystem with the requirements of the EU Customs Data Model for import declarations and the subsequent sending of upgraded reports to the EU Surveillance system.

B) CONTENT

This circular provides instructions on the completion of specific fields of the import declaration in accordance with the data requirements of Annex B to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2446/2015 and Annex B to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2447/2015.

C) SCOPE

This circular concerns import declarations from which data must be collected for reports sent to the EU Surveillance system. It is applied by customs offices of import and economic operators involved in the processing of customs formalities for the import of the goods in question (importers and customs representatives).
